While this isn’t necessary, you can use the internet to find a shop you can trust.
Moreover, a mechanic should be able to explain what they’re doing to you. Ask questions and be sure to get a hands-on walk-through of the work before the repair. By doing this, you can show them you’re knowledgeable about the repairs, and you’ll be more likely to trust their work. However, you shouldn’t be afraid to take your car to a different mechanic.
